AMU AND THE NAVY COLLEGE PROGRAM DISTANCE LEARNING PARTNERSHIP
Eligibility and Admissions Requirements Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Students First-time college students are admitted upon completion of the online application and orientation. They may then register for their first course(s). Students will be required to self-certify that they have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additional Transfer Credit for Undergraduate Students All students with American Council on Education (ACE)-evaluated military or professional experience and education to be evaluated for credit also should submit a TCE form and supporting documentation. AMU will consider military or civilian training evaluated by ACE as well as approved examinations, such as the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Undergraduate students who apply at the Associate level may transfer up to a maximum of 45 credit hours; those applying at the Bachelor's level may transfer up to 90 credit hours. Students with no prior college experience may have their ACE-evaluated military or professional experience considered for transfer credit. Admissions Requirements for Graduate Students If you are applying to a graduate-level program, you must submit the following documents: Official transcript showing you have earned a Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting body. If you have earned a Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited institution, submit the official advanced degree transcript in lieu of an undergraduate degree transcript. If you earned graduate-level credit without completing the degree and want to have it evaluated for transfer, submit official transcripts of this coursework along with the Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE) application and fee. If you are applying to the Master’s of Education programs, additional admissions requirements apply. Contact the AMU Admissions Team at info@apus.edu for details.
Additional Transfer Credit for Graduate Students AMU also will consider professional military education and specific civilian, corporate, and government training evaluated by the American Council on Education (ACE) for graduate credit.
